Banquet Chef - Aqua Turf Club

Description of Position 

• Aqua Turf Club is seeking an experienced and motivated Banquet Chef to join our culinary team. As one of Connecticut’s premier banquet and event facilities, we host a wide variety of weddings, private celebrations, corporate events, and large-scale functions throughout the year. We are looking for a skilled chef who takes pride in delivering consistently exceptional food and is comfortable working in a fast-paced, high-volume banquet environment. The Banquet Chef will play an important role in the preparation and execution of our events, ensuring that every meal meets Aqua Turf Club’s standards for quality, presentation, consistency, and flavor. 

Responsibilities include: •

• Preparing high-volume meals for weddings, parties, corporate events, and other functions •
• Executing banquet menus with consistency and attention to detail •
• Maintaining high standards of food quality, presentation, and sanitation •
• Working efficiently in a fast-paced commercial kitchen •
• Collaborating with the culinary and banquet teams to ensure successful event execution •
• Utilizing strong knife skills, batch cooking techniques, banquet plating, and commercial kitchen equipment 

Qualifications: 

• Previous experience as a banquet chef, sous chef, or in a similar high-volume culinary position 
• Strong knowledge of banquet food preparation and production 
• Ability to work efficiently as part of a team 
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality 
• Ability to work a flexible schedule, including mornings, afternoons, evenings, and weekends 
• Ability to lift up to 40–50 lbs.
• Compensation will be based on experience and qualifications.
